next generation ministry

What Is Next Generation Ministry?
Next Generation Ministry is a spiritual growth plan for your children from cradle to college. Our ministries have a commitment to partner closely with you and one another in raising our next generation of Christian leaders. We have developed a goal and strategy to help you child mature into the Christ young adult God intends.

NextGen Goal
To partner with parents to spiritually train and equip children through high school to become individuals who…
Adore Christ and can articulate basic doctrine
Develop a biblical world view and a passion for Christian community
Explore their unique design for service and embrace the Great commission
What If?
What if you could get a guarantee that your child would grow up to be a strong committed follower of Jesus Christ? Wouldn’t that bring Glory to God and delight your soul?  But as we all know, there are few guarantees when it comes to raising children. What you can be sure of, however, is that your chance of having a child who embraces God’s grace and takes their faiths seriously will significantly increase if you have a goal in mind and a plan in place as you raise your children to love and serve the LORD.We are reminded in Deuteronomy 4:9:  “Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children—

Would you allow us to partner with you as we together shape the hearts and minds of our next generation, your children?
How safe are my children at Grace Baptist Church?
We take the safety of all attenders at Grace Baptist Church very serious especially the safety of minors.  God has entrusted you to keep your children safe from all threats to the best of your abilities.  Because we have take your child’s safety serious we adopted the GBC sexual misconduct (Link the Document!) policy.  This policy ensures background checks all of our paid and unpaid staff for anyone working with minors.

We have, also, committed ourselves to follow as closely as possible CDC guidelines for safety from infectious diseases like Covid-19. We thoroughly clean the building each week.
Our NextGen strategy consists of three basic areas of impact in the lives of parents and their children:
Teaching Goals
Within each age group ministry, a teaching plan has been developed that include three C’s:
  • Concepts: What should I believe? These are basic Christian doctrines children should understand
  • Competencies: What should I have learned? These are biblical and spiritual maturity benchmarks that show learning achievements.
  • Conformations: How can I change my life to conform to God’s plan for me? These are spiritual disciplines that help us live out our faith.
Ministry Transitions
As our children move from one age group ministry to the next we want to make these transitions as seamless as possible by preparing children and their parents. This includes physical transitions from one ministry area to the next, as well as life transitions as the child matures physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
